Development of “The Bubble Ring” (Winner of Swarovsky® Street Styles Competition 2004). This series deploys loose precious and semi- precious stones as fire opals, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, iolites and amethysts mixed with clear and coloured cubic zirconia, all enclosed in a thick carved Perspex® body. The glossy and curved surface of the clear acrylic adds a striking optical effect of distortion to the natural shape and motion of the stones, following the movements of the wearer’s body.
